                               RESOLUTION NO. 19374
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE DOWNTOWN
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   FRIDAY, MAY 15, 1992 FOR THE PRESENTATION OF
                   THE "ARMED FORCES DAY PARADE" SPONSORED BY
                   THE ARMED FORCES WEEK COMMITTEE UNDER
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Riverfront Parkway from Chestnut Street to
       South River Street on Friday, May 15, 1992 from 10:00 a.m. to 
3:30
       p.m. and the temporary closing of Riverside Drive from Chestnut
       Street to Mabel Street, the temporary closing of Chestnut Street
       between Riverfront Parkway and 4th Street, the temporary closing
       of 2nd and 3rd Streets between Chestnut Street and Market Street, 

       the temporary closing of Broad Street from 2nd Street to 12th
       Street, the temporary closing of 4th Street from Chestnut Street
       to Market Street, the temporary closing of Market Street from 4th 

       Street to 12th Street, the temporary closing of 5th, 6th, 7th and 

       8th Streets between Chestnut Street and Cherry Street, the
       temporary closing of 10th Street between Columbia Street and
       Carter Street, the temporary closing of M. L. King Boulevard
       between Carter Street and Georgia Avenue, the temporary closing 
of
       Georgia Avenue between M. L. King Boulevard and Market Street, 
the
       temporary closing of the northbound exit ramp from State Highway
       27 to 4th Street, the temporary closing of the southbound exit
       ramp from State Highway 27 to 4th Street, and the temporary
       closing of 11th Street from Chestnut Street to Columbia Street
       from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the presentation of the "Armed
       Forces Day Parade" under the sponsorship of the Armed Forces Week 

       Committee provided that the sponsor shall provide, at all times,
       an access lane for fire and other emergency vehicles.
